Australian Teachers tell us about their experience with MultiLit's Positive Teaching and Learning initiative
"I am an Education Assistant (EA) that has been working in a school for the last 15 years. Over the years, I have worked in a variety of settings ranging from classroom EA to teaching intervention groups. I recently completed the MultiLit Positive Teaching modules as I am always looking for ways to create a positive learning environment for the students I teach. I found the self-paced modules easy to complete. I had done previous training in this area but these modules really helped me to self-reflect using short video recordings of my teaching. I loved how you analyse your recordings and tally the use of positive and negative statements. The acronyms made it easy for me to remember how I could praise an individual or group using a positive teaching statement. This training really helped me to identify examples of negative behaviour that can be disruptive during teaching. I was then able to apply the positive teaching strategies to extinguish these behaviours. It really is very powerful! I saw an immediate shift in the students behaviour and the enthusiastic approach to their learning and drive to follow the rules within the classroom. I would highly recommended these modules for teachers, Education Assistants, and even Principals and Deputies wanting to empower all staff within their school."

"I would recommend the Positive Teaching workshop by eLearning Modules for new and experienced teachers. The modules outline a comprehensive management approach to discipline, including step-by-step instruction, quizzes, and tutorial videos that outline practical strategies for immediate use in the classroom. This course explores a complete range of techniques based on empirical research enhancing learning outcomes for all students and assisting educators in understanding better the factors that influence challenging behaviours."
